The
first characteristic is that they live high in the
mountains. Air pollutants do not get up that high in any measurable concentration.
Smoke, smog and gases do not reach their areas as these pollutants come
from power plants, factories, cars, trucks and buses; things they do not
have. Unlike them, our bodies must defend against pollutants daily by
trapping dust and pollen in a substance called mucus, and then cells with
tiny hairs called cilia push the mucus out of our bodies. Apparently,
people from these cultures save the stress, because they don't have to
mobilize their bodies into a defensive shields on a daily basis.
The second common characteristic is how
these five cultures irrigate their land. There
is very little rain fall so there climate is dry. Because of dry climate,
they must irrigate from glaciers. Their glaciers move about four times a
year grinding into powder the rock underneath the glacier. During
the warmer times of the year when the glaciers begin to melt at rock
level, the running water that is irrigated carries 35 to 45% ground rock
to the soil of the farmers in the area. This liquid rock is referred to as
'glacier creep' and / or 'glacier milk.' Its appearance is white to yellow
to blue and white.
Despite it's appearance and consistency, it's mineral content is very
rich. Realizing that our bodies are made up of 65% water and 35% minerals,
it is not hard to imagine the significant benefit going into their bodies
from the soil where the irrigation ends. These cultures must have everything
going into their dietary requirements that we can only dream of.
